Advisors: Dr. Saweda Liverpool-Tasie and Dr. Mywish Maredia
As part of the Research Supporting African MSMEs: To Provide Safe and Nutritious Food (RSM2SNF) project, I coordinated with research teams in Nigeria and Tanzania to develop surveys for every node of the tomato and green leafy vegetable value-chains (from producers to retailers). I then aided in the implementation of those surveys, data cleaning, and data analysis. This led to hundreds of output materials, including technical reports, outreach documents, and journal articles.

An additional part of my work has been researching the labor dynamics around tomato wholesaling in Tanzania. This research is being done as part of the Food Security Group at Michigan State University's efforts to create efficient vegetable value-chains and related extension programming.

2018 - 2019
As part of an external team striving to improve education for displaced people, I played a crucial role in creating internal reports. This included interviewing key stakeholders in sub-Saharan Africa, analyzing their insights, and summarizing them into brief reports. Our work helped the organization launch many programs that support displaced children in the region.

Worked with the Ministry of Agriculture and IFAD's Marketing Infrastructure, Value Addition, and Rural Finance Support Programme to implement a survey focused on women's empowerment to over 100 sunflower farmers in the rural district of Singida. I wrote the survey, managed data collection in the field, and performed all resulting data analysis.

Co-wrote an internal report outlining the best practices for conflict resolution within the non-governmental organization (NGO) space. The information outlined in this report was then incorporated into the intervention strategies of the organization.
